I had never heard a good audience recording of a Wall show before and I'm pretty blown away. All kinds of ambience. You can feel how big their sound is. Ah, to have been there.
Keith has some sparkly playing in this. Jerry's tone cuts deep. Beginning to really appreciate '74 shows.

This show has a lot working in its favor. The recording is superb. You can FEEL the power of the Wall. There are some juicy jams here too. However, in comparison to other show from this era(may available on this site); I have to say the Dead don't stretch out and really explore their jams here. Gotta love the back story on this one, very cool.

The Capital Centre is (was-it's since been torn down) my most frequently venue (17 GD shows + a few JGB!!), but alas I was only 5 when this one took place. The show is a pure masterpiece, especially the portion between WRS>Let it Grow and Wharf Rat. It's classic '74.

Wow. Jerry Moore trusted complete strangers with his no-doubt expensive taping equipment. But then, it was 1974. Good thing he did, too - this is a nice recording. I was checking out He Live's recommendations for 74, and this one sounds much better than 6/30, which is a bit muddy. Will rate the show after I listen to the second set.

Whoever shot off that M-80 during TLMD shoulda been tossed out on their head, it is sort of funny though
This is listenable, what can i say, the archive is different now

I have the soundboard version of this show and
I must admit that it is clear but clinical. No
Character. This audience version has the ambience that is lacking in the soundboard. Do
yourself a favor and download both! I give it
5 stars as it is their first appearance at my beloved Cap Centre.
